I have spent the last 4 days with good friend Jeff K in Jackson, WY. Basically right under the Tetons. With 3 days of riding both the MTB and the Moto each day. The moto trails out here are endless and I do plan on coming back to do more.

The moto bike has for sure added a whole other world to me. As I ride up the side of a mountain heading toward the snow caps you can’t slap the smile off my face. For the most part I have yet to spend any money on camping. Between Joe, Deb and Jeff I have only spent one night at a campsite in 9 days and that was $12. Tonight I am at the Spread Creek dispersed camp area near Grand Teton National Park. If some of you remember this is where Gabby Petito was murdered by her then boyfriend. Kinda creepy. There is a memorial around here but I can’t find it. The specific campsite was dismantled and is gone.

Anyway, back to the bike riding…

We went on several MTB rides. One gravel, one mountain and one bike path warrior. The mountain ride was epic. One climb only but it was 2000 feet until we stopped. Strava told me it was my highest, longest climb ever. Then, it was a flippit and right back down. Arm pump had me off the trail several times. Somewhat of a tough ride but it was all good. No blood.

The final bike ride of the visit was a bike path ride into town, stopping at the local farmers market and stopping to watch a little league baseball game. Getting a little local Jackson flavor. I have mixed feelings about Jackson, WY. It’s a cool town set up under the Tetons but the cost of living is crazy. Many celebrities have homes here. Like, a lot. A regular home is a million dollars. I honestly did not believe that but with research was true. And the traffic was off the hook. Kind of reminds me of Bentonville as it seems the population has outgrown the infrastructure. If I lived here it would have to be a few miles out of town for sure.

The farmers market had a lot of treats that I wanted. Then it was one last moto ride around the Elk Refuge today, then pack up to moved on.

I’m going to hit the road early tomorrow and have 3 nights at a campground in Yellowstone. I’ll park the van and ride the moto everywhere. It’s so nice not having to drive the van everywhere I go. Just park it and ride.

So in recap I rode with Joe in Denver(ish), spent 3 days by Deb P climbing mountains and riding moto and 3 days with Jeff riding both MTB and moto. Id say this trip is going well. Next post will be from Yellowstone… Don’t forget to subscribe to follow along.
