So I crossed off a bucket list item. Stand on top of a 14k mountain summit. True, I drove up to the top. I did walk a tough 100 yards to the summit tho.

I borrowed a cardboard sign from a couple of kids taking pics up there so it official. Definitely was moon like that high. Super windy hence I was not able to wear a hat. Probably hundreds hats strewn around that place. It also was near below freezing at the top. Some small ponds had ice.

So the only way I was going to do this was to hit up MT Blue Sky. It’s the highest paved road in North America. And its been closed for over a year for repairs. So once I heard it was reopened I had to get this done. It was a nice slow drive up. But nothing crazy. Once you start its 14 miles up. So many cool things to see it seems shorter.

Lots of these guys around. I noticed some were collared. So this is really one of the things I had in mind before I even left for the west. I’m glad I got to cross it off. One at a time the list gets smaller but I do add to it to keep me busy.

As we speak I’m in the Dinosaur National Monument. Its flippin hot again and I should have known as this is kinda the dessert. It’s in the 90s at 6pm but shows to cool off to the 50’s tonight. Its just a quick stay and then Im off to Jackson, WY to visit a buddy and do a little MTBing. Yeah… I still do that.
